Exciting!  This is episode #4 on the Finding Body Freedom Podcast and today I am chatting with Kelsey Miller who is the author of Big Girl: How I Gave Up Dieting & Got A Life (Jan. 2016, Grand Central). Kelsey graduated from Boston University with a BS in Film & Television and began her career in the film production industry before transitioning to full-time writing. Soon after joining the staff of Refinery29, she created The Anti-Diet Project, one of the website’s most popular franchises. The Anti-Diet Project is an ongoing series about intuitive eating, sustainable fitness, and body positivity. You guys have got to check that out! In addition to her work in this area, Kelsey specializes in cultural commentary, entertainment writing, humor, feminist issues, advice, and personal essays. She lives in Brooklyn, NY. In today’s episode we talked about her journey from chronic dieting to intuitive eating, how she quit dieting and got a life, the Anti-Diet Project, and weight bias (how our world is set up for certain sized bodies and not others, as well as, thin privilege).
